Taking Care by YOURSELF
Leotard wash-dry-store manual
Taking proper care of your leotard helps it stay beautiful and last longer. Follow these steps to keep it in the best condition:
Washing
- Hand wash your leotard in cold water with a mild detergent.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing, twisting, or wringing out the fabric.
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as they can damage the material and decorations.
Drying
- Gently press out excess water with a towel—do not wring.
- Lay flat to dry on a clean towel and a towel in between, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not tumble dry, as high heat can damage delicate fabrics and embellishments.
Storing
- Store your leotard flat to avoid wrinkles and stretching.
- Keep it in a breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and snags.
- Avoid folding it over rhinestones or decorations to prevent damage.

Reapplying Rhinestones
Over time, rhinestones may loosen or fall off. My rhinestone application video guides you through the process of reattaching them properly.
Steps for Reapplying Rhinestones
Clear Out Any Residual Glue
Before applying new glue, gently scrape off any leftover glue from the old rhinestone using a tool like a cotton swab or a soft brush. Be careful not to damage the fabric.Apply New Glue
Using fabric glue and a wax pencil, apply a small amount of glue to the spot where the rhinestone will go. The wax pencil makes it easy to pick up and place the stone precisely.Place the Rhinestone
Using the wax pencil or tweezers, carefully place the rhinestone onto the glued spot. Press it down gently to ensure it sticks.Let It Dry
Allow the glue to dry completely. For best results, let the rhinestone sit for a few hours or overnight before handling the leotard again.Fixate the Rhinestone
Once the glue is fully dry, you can lightly press the rhinestone to make sure it’s firmly attached. If needed, you can apply a little extra glue around the edges to ensure it stays in place.
